Is Federline really with Paris Hilton?

The unlikely duo of Kevin Federline and Paris Hilton caused heads to turn in Las Vegas over the pre-New Year's weekend, People magazine reported on its Web site, while TMZ.com had Hilton cozying up to Hollywood hunk Brody Jenner. In any event, we're sure she wasn't alone as the new year arrived.
Meanwhile, Federline's attorney says he wants to depose Britney Spears soon, the latest step in the former couple's ongoing child-custody battle.
"Britney Spears will have her deposition early [next] year," Mark Vincent Kaplan told People.com late Saturday. "We've got a lot to talk about."
Spears, 26, called in sick to a court-ordered deposition Dec. 12.
"She was, in fact, out later that day and night," Kaplan said. "It's not fourth grade where you get a doctor's note and it's all OK."
Spears and Federline have been wrangling for months over custody of their sons, 2-year-old Sean Preston and 1-year-old Jayden James.

The participants for ABC's back-to-back, prime-time Republican and Democratic debates Saturday in New Hampshire will be determined after results of Thursday's Iowa caucus become clear.
Fox has invited five GOP candidates to a forum with Chris Wallace in New Hampshire on Sunday. Rudy Giuliani, Mike Huckabee, John McCain, Mitt Romney and Fred Thompson received invites, leaving Paul and Duncan Hunter on the sidelines.
The network said it had limited space in its studio - a souped-up bus - and that it invited candidates polling in the double digits.
Some livid Paul supporters are distributing e-mails calling for a boycott of Fox advertisers. A Fox representative did not return calls for comment.
To participate in ABC's debates, candidates must meet at least one of three benchmarks: place first through fourth in Iowa, poll 5 percent or higher in one of the last four major New Hampshire surveys, or poll 5 percent or higher in one of the last four major national surveys.
ABC News anchor Charles Gibson is moderating both debates, each 90 minutes long.
One man's trash ... Ari Derfel, a 35-year-old Berkeley, Calif., caterer said he has saved every piece of trash he has generated over the past year to see how much garbage one person creates. In his case, it was about 96 cubic feet.
The idea was to examine his own consumption habits, Derfel said, but grew into a statement about consumerism and the environment.
The refuse - including every tissue, receipt, food wrapper and plastic bottle - lies in bins in the kitchen and living room of Derfel's apartment. He composts his food scraps.
Derfel said he hopes to donate his accumulated waste to a sculptor.

You see, Paris Hilton recently lost most of her billion-dollar inheritance when her grandfather decided to give 97% of it to charity. And Larry Birkhead's daughter Dannielynn might eventually be the recipient of the $474 million that Anna Nicole Smith was fighting for from her marriage to that old rich bloke. Yes? You're starting to get it?
It means that Paris Hilton wants to be Dannielynn's granddaughter. Obviously.

BRITNEY Spears faces fresh heartbreak, with the release of pictures of her ex-husband Kevin Federline cosying up to none other than her own party pal, Paris Hilton.
The hotel heiress, who has become good friends with Britney after partying with her several times this year, was seen laughing and joking with Kevin at Las Vegas' LAX nightclub on Saturday. A source said: "Kevin and Paris were having fun. He kept shouting out her name and gave her a kiss on the cheek and then whispered something in her ear. It looked as though they were getting quite friendly."

Britney missed a scheduled deposition in December over the custody of the couple's two children, Sean Preston and Jayden James, after claiming she was ill.
